How to turn phone service off but keep wifi on?
So my mom gave me her old android smartphone for an mp3 player and what not. We thought the cell service was turned off, and it didn't work so it was all good. But i had a micro sd car (I dont think it was sim card) and i put it in the phone for more room for music. Well later we found out that it is somehow still hooked up to her account and i get the texts she gets on her new phone. All i want is to use it for WiFi. Also, if there is a way, could i possibly turn off text and calls but keep using Cellular internet under her account? Like so i could surf the web without extra charge under her account away from wifi but not receive her texts.

Can I sell my iPhone?
Hello yahooers, my brother has given me his old iPhone (first generation) and now has the newest one, iPhone 4, i have had this iPhone for a while but I do not use any cell service, I only use it for basic safari, alarm clock and timer. Lately I see no reason to have this anymore and I would like to sell it in exchange for the newest iPhone availalbe or save the money earned for something important. However, I did try to erase all personal data. But when I tried to get rid of the cell phone number registered, I cant do so.
For example. If i sold this iphone to someone and they decide to have a cell phone service. They would have my brothers cell phone number also. And when that person calls someone, it would show up on their caller ID as my brother. Really I have no idea how cell phones work really.
My main goal is to erase ALL personal data and have the iPhone with no memory whatsoever so I can sell it to someone who wants it.
Also, please advise, how much should I sell it for?
